Westies in Need (WiN) works very hard to match our wonderful dogs with equally wonderful new families. Here are some of our success stories!
One of our little rescues was named Lilly - she was the worst case of skin problems we had ever seen when she arrived into our rescue program. The Pet Network saw her info on our website and asked if they could do a story on our Lilly and our rescue. Princess is a 7 yr old female who comes to us from a Quebec Shelter. Princess and Queenie (that you see here as well) were abandoned by their back yard breeder when they were no longer needed 😥
Princess is fostering in Quebec and will be spayed very soon!

An update...Princess has been adopted. She met her new family and just knew it was the perfect "fur"ever home for her.
A warm WELCOME to 8 yr old George who comes to us from the Ottawa Humane Society. This super friendly little guy found himself alone when his owner passed away.
George needs some dental work but more importantly he has a nasty growth that needs removal/testing ... you're in good hands now little one, we'll get you in to see our vet ASAP!!!
An update...George has been adopted. He and his new family are so happy!!!!
Adorable Molly has come to us as an owner surrender. Our love and thanks to her family for trusting us to find her a wonderful new home.
5 year old Molly is is a Westie/Yorkshire terrier mix and is, as you can see, as cut and sweet as can be.

An update...Molly has been adopted. She met Vicki and just knew that she was going to be her forever Mommy and she even got a new baby Westie sister to play with!
Jock is just 2 years old and comes to us as an owner surrender. He is, as you can see, a very handsome young man who is having lots of fun in his foster home! He is neutered, very sweet and a good cuddler!
An update...Jock has been adopted. He met his forever family and just knew it was the perfect home for him!
Luke and Maggie are both 10 years old and are brother and sister. They have come to us as an owner surrender when their Daddy passed away and the family asked for us help. These 2 will be adopted together, as they are a bonded pair!

Sweet Lucy is just 17 months old and comes to us as an oner surrender. Our love and thanks to her family for reaching out to us and asking for help in finding her the perfect home!

Howie was a stray found wandering and was picked up by animal services. The shelter called us right away and asked if we could help this sweet little boy and of course we said yes!!!! He is 1 1/2 years old, neutered and is such a happy guy. Welcome Howie to Westies in Need.
An update...Howie has been adopted. This beyond sweet and very lovy boy is now living with Debbie and loving it!!!
WELCOME 6 yr old Chi Chu who came to WiN through the Ottawa Humane Society.
Chi Chu has been fostering with Jackie and her family, who while dedicating their time to his behavioural training fell "Head over Heels" in love with him.
An update...Chi Chu has been adopted. His new name is Charlie....congratulations Charlie and new family
Amanda is a darling little Westie mix that arrived into our rescue from a puppy mill seizure and as you can see is making herself very comfortable in her foster mom's home!

Mina is a little Westie mix that has come to us from a puppy mill. She is so sweet and funny.
Mina needs a home with another dog to play with, a fenced yard and a family who is home all, if not most of the day (not out 8 hours working) and also a home with terrier experience-she sure is sweet but she is a handful....she is only 17 months old and has had no rules in her life, so she sure can be naughty when she wants to be!!!!
An update...Mina has been adopted. This sweetest of girls has been adopted by a perfect family!
Ranger is just 3 years old and comes to us as an owner surrender. He is such a sweet boy and as you can see is also very handsome.
He is being fostered right now and we promise we will find him a perfect new home!

Tommy has come to us as an owner surrender when his family could no longer care for him. Our love and our thanks to them for trusting us and allowing us to find Tommy a perfect home.
Tommy is 9 years old, but acts like a 5 year old!!!! He loves his walks and rides in the car so well!

Welcome Mac to Westies in Need. As you can see he is ADORABLE and is 11 years old (however his foster Mom says he is "more like 11 going on 6" as he has TONS of energy)
He is being fostered in the Toronto area and when we get to know him a bit better we will begin to go through our current applications to find him just the best home. Mac walks well on his leash, loves other dogs and is very loving!
An update...Mac has been adopted. He met Tina and Rod and he just knew that they were the perfect family for him!

Willy was an owner surrender and his past is quickly becoming a distant memory as he bonds with his new foster family!
An update...Willy has been adopted and his new name will be "Duke of Argyll" Duke and his new Dad are having so much fun and Duke is enjoying his new property with lots of squirrels to patrol!
Roxi is just 7 years old and is a TINY girl! Our love and our thanks go out to her family for contacting us when they could no longer care for her! She may be a Westie mix.... we are not sure, but she sure looks like a Westie.
Roxi will see our Vet today and have a full "once over" and then she will be ready to join a new family!!!
