Our dear Bliss (from Cheviotvale Kennels) made the journey to the Rainbow Bridge just after her 14th birthday in August of 2024. She was our first female Westie; but not our last, survived by her sisters Piper (Cheviotvale Kennels) and Holly Bear (Skyehigh Kennels).
At the very beginning of her life, she was a television star; having been featured in one of the inaugural episodes of “Pick a Puppy” (Season 1, Episode 7 ‘One of the Girls’).
She became a neighborhood favorite with many doggie friends including Vinnie, Trip, Sophie, Logan, Walter, Emmit, Goldie, Shiloh, Dunny, Cooper, Simon, Masey, Bailey, Poppy, Daisy, Gus, Bradley, Tucker, Lucy, Pippi, Hazel, Lola, and Pheobe. She was also a constant and loving companion to a family member with dementia.
Bliss was an excellent pack leader, always being on her best behavior when groomed, bathed, having her teeth brushed or going to the vets. At 10 years old she was diagnosed with Westie Lung disease but live courageously and fully.
She particularly loved looking out the front window, making perimeter checks in her backyard, and enjoyed car and wagon rides.
