Our dear Piper (from Cheviotvale Kennels) made the journey to the Rainbow Bridge just after her 13th birthday on October 2nd, 2025. She was our quiet, reserved, but a confident female Westie; survived by her sister Holly Bear (Skyehigh Kennels).
At the very beginning she was the little sister to our Westie Bliss (2010 to 2024). Always happy to let Bliss be the lead dog and then later with Holly. Piper had kisses for everyone and was a kind gentle soul. She was an excellent watch dog, even as a puppy she took this duty very seriously; always checking on us and monitoring what was going on in her front yard through the front door or window. Piper loved being with her sisters, whether it be in her backyard, going for car rides, walks, and later for wagon rides.
Piper became a neighborhood favorite with many doggie friends including Tucker, Vinnie, Trip, Sophie, Goldie, Shiloh, Dunny, Daisy, Simon, Masey, Bailey, Poppy, Gus, Lucy, Pippi, Hazel, Lola, Abby and Pheobe. Piper had such a good temperament, whether she was being groomed, bathed, visiting the vet, or having her teeth brushed; she even helped two neighbors overcome their fear of dogs.
Soon after Bliss leaving for the Rainbow Bridge; Piper was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Piper lived courageously and fully for another 14 months.
Our world is sadder without Piper; we are grateful for the happiness she brought to us, and she will be forever in our hearts.
