Lea is a 9 year old Westie girl that comes to us from an SPCA. 

This very sweet girl has been diagnosed with Diabetes, so she will begin her insulin treatments right away.

An update...Lea has been adopted. She will be a "fur"ever Westie with Mary and her family!!!

Roke is only 2 years old and was an owner surrender. Our love and thanks to his family for trusting us find him a new home!

This is such a lovely boy...he is neutered and will be ready to meet a new and forever family!!!

Penny is only 8 years old and is an owner surrender. She came to us because of some skin issues she had that her family could not help her with.

As you can see our darling Penny is looking so good now and is just loving her foster home!

An update...Penny has been adopted! Her foster Mommy asked Penny if she would like to stay and live with her forever and Penny thought it was a great idea!!!!

Katie is a 10 yr old darling who came into rescue today. This was a heart wrenching decision for Katie's Ma-ma as  she is in the hospital with Stage 4 cancer and not able to care for her. We assured Katie's Ma-ma that we'd take really good care of her!!!

An update...Katie had been labelled as not house trained but at no fault of hers, she had been suffering from Hormonal Urinary Incontience from a spay a few years prior. A medication called Stilbestrol (hormone supplement) has Katie no longer soiling herself while sleeping or standing .. she is dry over night and beginning to get the concept of asking to go outdoors to do her business!! This sweet wee girl had been experiencing diarrhea off/on for a long period of time and low and behold wasn't her B12 low and folate high in her blood results. Again, at no fault of Katie's she was suffering from SIBO (small intestinal bacteria overgrowth). She has responded well to a series of B12 injections to build her up and will continue monthly injections for the remainer of her life. Katie was also very thin, having several bowel movements per day (7-8). A special blood test confirmed our suspicion that Katie has EPI - Exoocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency and requires a special pancrease enzyme powder added to a wee bit of plain yougurt just before her meals, to aid in the digestion and absoprtion of nutrients. Katie has reached her ideal weight for her petite frame!!!

We are so very excited to share the news that Katie has been adopted (here is an updated picture!) and joined her new furever family! There are not enough words to express our thanks to those who will open their hearts and home to take in a senior Westie and we are elated to share this "happy ending" story! WE love you Katie ... all the best to you in your new home!!!!!!!!!!

Wesley is just 10 months old and comes to us as an  owner surrender.

This sweet boy needs to be neutered and then will be ready to join a forever family!!!

An update...Wesley has been adopted! He asked his foster Mommy if he could stay and live with them forever and they said yes!!!!!!!!

Mary and Joseph arrived into our rescue on Christmas eve from a puppy mill in Ohio. As you can see they have some skin issues, but they are  improving daily and sure look like different Westies already! They are now going to be spayed and neutered and will make their journey to Canada ASAP.

Mary is only 4 years old and Joseph is just 2 years old!

An update...Mary and Joseph made it to Canada and into the waiting arms of their foster families...below is an updated picture, take just 2 short weeks after the picture above. Now the best news...both our darlings have been adopted!!! Welcome to Canada and welcome to your new lives!

Dorrit is just 5years old and is an owner surrender. Our love and thanks to his owner for trusting us with this lovely  boy.

Dorrit (Dory) is a handsome boy, walks well on his leash and is a sweet boy all around!!!

An update...Dory has been adopted! He met Barry and Ann and knew that he had found his forever home!

James is a 12 year old Westie that WIN rescued from a Montreal shelter. His family dropped him off there (after having him since he was a little puppy) and he was so unhappy and scared.

He is now safe with our rescue. He is a sweet, sweet boy.

Angus is 9 years old and is as cuddly as can be.  He has some skin issues that we are dealing with but will shortly be 100%!!!!

Benji is 3 1/2 years old and as you can see...is CUTE!!! This very sweet Westie has come to us as an owner surrender and we are so thankful that his family would trust us in finding him a new and forever home.

Morris is only 6 months old and comes to us from an SPCA who asked for our help in finding him a new home.

Morris is a Westie mix we believe and is, as you can see, as cute as a button!!!

Liberty is just 6 months old and is, as all can see, as cute as a bug in a rug!!!

She is a Westie with a tiny bit of poodle mixed in there (our best guess!!) and is as sweet and cuddly and darling as her picture shows her to be!

An update...Liberty has been adopted! Her foster Mom and Dad said she is perfect and are so happy!!!

Kinchie is 7 years old and has come to us with some skin issues. His Mom worked so hard to get it under control, but he has come into rescue and we thank her so much for trusting us!

We will get him on our "itchy Westie program" right away and hope that he will improve shortly!!!!

Annie and Duffy are only 3 years old and are a very bonded pair for sure. These 2 darlings...one boy and one girl...are as sweet as sweet can be and must be adopted together...so that is just what will happen!

They are so loving and are ready to meet a new family.

Maggie is only 5 years old and comes to us as an owner surrender.

This VERY pretty girl needs a grooming as you can all see...(hey Maggie...are you in there???) and she needs to be spayed and then after some rest and relaxation at her foster home, will be ready to join her new family.

An update...Maggie has been adopted! Could not have happened to a sweeter girl!

Jules is 9 1/2 years old and he has been deaf since birth. He was surrendered into our rescue and we just know that we will find him a wonderful and forever home.

An update...Jules has been adopted. His new and forever Mommy left at the crack of dawn to drive 6 1/2 hours to come and get Jules.... what an amazing lady. There angels amongst us and she is one of them. We all had a good cry when he left he cuddled up in his little bed In the back seat and off they went .

Benny is only one and half and is a Westie Yorkie mix. He is such a little guy and was pulled from a shelter in Quebec.

An update...Benny has been adopted. He and Rhonda met and knew it was love at first sight...he even gets a new Westie sister, Bonnie, as well!!!

Kimmy is only 7 years old and has come to us (along with her sister that you see below.

She is a very sweet girl indeed...she needs to be spayed and have a little time in foster care, but then she will be all ready to find a couch to call her own!

An update...Kimmy has been adopted. She met Micheline and knew this was the perfect spot for her...she even got a new Westie brother, named Romeo!!!!

Phoebe is 6 years old and comes to us from as a retired breeding female...so she has just won the lottery!!! She needs to be spayed and have some time to rest and then she will be ready for her new home.

She is being fostered in the Ottawa area.

Oliver is 3 years old and comes to us as an owner surrender. As you can see, he is a handsome boy, neutered and up to date with his shots.

Oliver will be do best in a home where he is the only dog as he just loves lots of attention!

Aubree is 5 years old and is the survivor of a puppy mill. This DARLING girl is now free and will be arriving in Canada shortly to begin her new life.

As you can see, she is very pretty and is as kind as can be...a loving girl who will be soon looking for a couch to call her own.

Fitzgerald is only 8 months old and is (we believe) a Westie/Schnauzer mix. Look at this face....too cute for words.

He is neutered, up to date on his shots and very playful...he does need a bit of work on his leash walking, but we know that will come quickly...he is one smart boy!!!

An update...little Fitzgerald has been adopted. He met Althea and her family and just knew it was his forever home.

Lia is an owner surrender...and as you can see, this little girl sure is a good looking girl!!!!

She is almost 7 years old and will be looking for her new home!!!

Blanka is a darling 1.5 yr old, owner surrender. This sweet girl was a bit unsure but is learning trust in her wonderful foster home.

Blanka has been to see our vet for a physical exam and base vaccine, she is being spayed on Thursday and will need a couple days recovery time before joining a new family!

An update...Blanca has been adopted. She has found a wonderful new home and couch!

McDuff is a 6 year old boy, who is unaltered, that we pulled from a kill shelter in Quebec. MacDuff needs to see our Vet (sorry big guy...but the boys HAVE to go!!!!!) and then will be ready to meet a new and forever family.

Marley is an owner surrender who came into rescue in Ottawa today!

Marley will be seeing our vet on Wednesday for a health exam and vaccine.
